Farm and property visits
Our 5 fully equipped vehicles enable us to provide on farm services to horses. We are able to respond to emergencies such as colics, foalings, injuries and other traumas. Where treatment cannot be provided by us on farm we transfer the horse to our Pinbarren site or refer to other referral hospitals.
Equine Reproduction
Equine Stud services include on farm breeding management as well as artificial insemination with fresh chilled and frozen semen at our Pinbarren site (pictured). We also perform stallion semen collections for breeding evaluation and for despatch to clients across Australia.
Equine Medicine
We have advanced diagnostic capabilities for diagnosing and treating complex medical cases on farm or in hospital. If required, we can refer your horse to a specialist internist.
Endoscopy
We have a high quality portable video endoscope that can be used in the field under certain circumstances. We prefer to perform endoscopy in our stocks for safety reasons. Upper and lower airway abnormalities can be diagnosed using the endoscope, as well as endoscopy of the bladder and reproductive organs. We have recently purchased a 3m gastroscope for diagnosing equine gastric ulcers and differentiating between squamous and glandular gastric disease which is important for correct treatment and management.
Equine Dentistry
The importance of regular effective dental care for horses cannot be over emphasised. We use gentle customised powertools in combination with hand instruments to provide routine dental floating through to advanced corrective dentistry and extractions. All procedures are carried out under sedation and analgesia so your horse remains calm and comfortable. Results are often seen immediately with improved performance and weight gains - and a happy horse!
General Surgery
We perform general surgeries including routine geldings, cryptochid surgery, sarcoid and other tumour removal, trauma surgery, angular limb deformity surgery in foals, eye ulcer surgery, umbilical hernia repairs amongst others. Surgeries are often performed on farm, but more complex procedures are admitted to our Pinbarren facility.We perform lameness investigations combining diagnostic nerve blocks with digital radiology and ultrasonography to accurately diagnose lameness problems so effective treatments can be offered. We routinely refer complex colic cases and orthopaedic cases to referral surgical facilities.
Vaccinations
We are able to administer all available vaccinations to your horse to help prevent diseases like tetanus, strangles, hendra virus and equine herpes virus, amongst others. Contact us to discuss a programme that is customised to your situation.
Digital Radiography
Our 2 digital radiography systems enhance our existing computed radiography capability to provide immediate on farm x rays. This tool is invaluable for lameness examinations, pre-purchase examinations and other conditions requiring x-ray diagnosis.
Digital Ultrasonography

We routinely use ultrasound for lameness diagnostics, pregnancy diagnosis, assisted reproductive techniques and internal medicine diagnostics.

General Services
We have 4 Australian studbook accredited veterinarians for microchipping, freeze branding and identification of all horse breeds.
