We hope you never need this service, but if so, we provide afterhours emergency support to our existing clients with horses and farm livestock. For domestic pets, please refer to our homepage for afterhours emergency contact details. We endeavour to assist new clients with emergencies however we cannot guarantee to provide assistance to new clients contacting us for the first time out of hours. We also have a limited travel range. Some of our neighbouring practices do not provide afterhours support even to their existing clients. If you are likely to require afterhours support, this should be a factor in choosing your day to day veterinary practice. If you are a new client contacting us for the first time afterhours, or have not used our practice in the last 18 months, you will be asked to pay an over the phone up front payment of between $600-$1000 depending upon the emergency. Sick horses that are not up to date with hendra virus vaccination will be seen at the discretion of the on-call vet and higher fees will be incurred if exclusion testing is required. Please understand that our existing clients will take priority for service. We have a zero tolerance policy for abuse so please be pleasant to our staff at all times.
